Privacy Policy

1. Information we collect

Account information. Name, email address, and password (or third-party sign-in credentials) when you create an account.

Property, lease, and financial data you enter. Properties, units, leases, tenant contact information, transactions, documents, and related records you or your organization’s members add to the Service.

Payment information. If and when payment processing is enabled for your organization, payment details are collected and processed directly by our payment processor (Stripe) — LeaseNest does not store full card or bank account numbers on our own servers.

Usage data. Basic technical information (browser type, device, IP address, pages visited) collected automatically to keep the Service secure and working correctly.

2. How we use information

We use collected information to:

• Provide, maintain, and improve the Service
• Authenticate accounts and enforce organization-level access controls
• Send account, security, and (where applicable) transactional notifications
• Respond to support requests
• Detect, prevent, and address fraud, abuse, or security issues

We do not sell your personal information, or your organization’s property or tenant data, to third parties.

3. How data is stored and isolated

Data is stored with our database provider (Supabase, running on PostgreSQL) and access is enforced with row-level security at the database layer: an organization’s properties, leases, tenants, and financial records are isolated from every other organization on the platform, and a tenant’s portal account only ever has access to their own lease and documents.

4. Service providers

We share information with the following categories of service providers as needed to operate the Service, each bound by their own confidentiality and data-protection obligations:

• Database and authentication hosting (Supabase)
• Application hosting (Vercel)
• Payment processing, where enabled (Stripe)
• Transactional email delivery (Resend)
• AI-assisted features you choose to use, such as receipt reading or document review (Anthropic)

5. Your rights

You can access, correct, export, or request deletion of your account information at any time by contacting us. An organization’s administrator can export or remove property, lease, and financial records they control directly within the Service, or by request.

6. Cookies

We use essential cookies to keep you signed in and to remember your active organization. We do not use third-party advertising or tracking cookies.

7. Children’s privacy

The Service is intended for business use by adults managing or renting real property and is not directed at children under 16.

8. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the Service evolves. Material changes will be reflected by updating the “Last updated” date above.
