Terms of Service

1. The Service

LeaseNest is a property management platform for tracking properties, units, leases, tenants, financial records, maintenance, and related documents, plus a portal for tenants invited by an organization to view their lease and documents and submit maintenance requests.

2. Accounts & organizations

You must provide accurate information when creating an account. Access to an organization’s data is granted only through an explicit membership to that organization — there is no account type with default access across organizations. You are responsible for activity under your account and for keeping your credentials secure.

3. Plans & billing

LeaseNest offers a free plan (“First Door”) for one door, and paid plans (“Growth”) for additional doors, billed monthly or annually as selected at signup. Paid plans can be canceled at any time; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. Fees are non-refundable except where required by law.

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Use the Service for any unlawful purpose, including violating fair-housing or tenant-privacy laws
• Attempt to access another organization’s data without authorization
• Interfere with or disrupt the Service’s operation or security
• Reverse-engineer the Service except as permitted by law

5. Your content & data

You (or your organization) retain ownership of the property, lease, tenant, and financial data you enter into the Service. You grant LeaseNest a limited license to host, process, and display that data solely to provide the Service to you. You are responsible for the accuracy of information you enter, including lease terms and communications sent to tenants.

6. Tenant portal use

Tenants are invited to the portal by an organization they have a lease relationship with. A tenant’s portal access is limited to their own lease, documents, and maintenance requests, and can be revoked by the inviting organization.

7. Disclaimers

The Service is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind, express or implied. LeaseNest is a record-keeping and workflow tool, not legal, tax, or financial advice — consult a qualified professional for decisions about leases, taxes, or your finances.

8. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, LeaseNest is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid LeaseNest in the twelve months before the claim arose.

9. Termination

You may stop using the Service and close your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate an account that violates these Terms. Upon termination, you may request an export of your organization’s data within a reasonable period.

10. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms as the Service evolves. Material changes will be reflected by updating the “Last updated” date above; continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.
